As a writer, one needs to be aware that what logically should happen...instead of forcing the plot in a 'desired' direction. Readers might notice.
For example...
Still, the munchkin's bid for offing the witch might have failed. Then he'd have been in big trouble.
Nevertheless, the plot's alternate direction certainly has a ripple effect.
