River City Comic Arts Festival (July 28th)

Hey Folks,

I'll be one of the guest authors at the River City Comics Art Festival this upcoming Sunday (July 28th).

As indicated in the floor plan (below), I'll be stationed right next to author Stephen Hines. Also there, but across the hall from my table will be artist Shawn Langley.

Plan on stopping by, saying hello, and maybe pick up some novels, comics, or art created by the the talented group of invited guests and vendors.

Follow Up: River City Comic Con 2016

I had a great time at River City Comic Con, meeting readers and authors and artists and some pretty cool vendors. The only drawback was the temperature in the ballroom--it was very, very hot, making it uncomfrotable for the con-goers/visitors, as well as the authors, artists and vendors. Even worse, the cosplayers. :(

Still, there was a steady crowd of fun and interesting folks, just too hot for them to linger and talk. I strongly suspect the situation will be improved for next year.

Anyway, here are some pics from the events. Funny thing is that about 1/2 the folks who purchased books declined a pic for my blog, which is cool. I really enjoyed return readers, who picked up the next book in the series, or started another one of my series, based on the novel or two they picked up at last year's River City Comic Con.

Heck, I even made a sale (got to sign a copy of Flank Hawk) in the parking lot after the event, as I was getting ready to drive home.

Art Affair on the Square (Urbana, OH) on July 16

Hey Folks,

A reminder that I will be attending the Art Affair on the Square in the Literary Tent hosted by the Champaign County Library, talking with readers and writers and anyone interested, along with other local authors. We'll be signing books as well, if you're interested.

Plus, there will be all sorts of arts presented and available (from paintings and pottery to sewing and music, and more), along with an assortment of foods.

It is my understanding that authors William Weldy and Addie J. King will be there as well!

Follow-Up: Classic Plastics Toy and Comics Expo

Apologies for the delay in posting a follow-up of this past weekend's Expo. It was a great one day event. A lot of interesting people to meet and talk to, some neat costumes, and both the First Civilization's Legacy Series and the Crax War Chronicles found a host of new readers!

Holiday Bazaar Tomorrow at Upper Valley Career Center

A quick reminder that tomorrow I'll be participating in the Holiday Bazaar along with over two dozen other vendors (foods, jewelry, knitted and sewn gifts, cooking ware and more). For those who know them, the Domestic Divas as well as author Stephen Hines will be in attendance.

I'll have copies of all my novels and short story collection, ready to sign for readers and for gifts to readers!

It runs from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm, although I have to leave at 5:00 pm to attend a tri-county planning commission meeting in Bellefountaine as part of my responsibility as a councilman for the Village of St. Paris.
