National Debt 2023

The last time I posted about the National Debt (January 2015), it was under 15 trillion.

Today? Closing in on 32 trillion. :(

When will we as citizens, finally decide to vote in governmental representatives that have some notion of fiscal responsibility?

Short Story Reprint Submission

Since I hadn't submitted a short story in quite some time, I figure I'd submit one of my previously published short stories to an anthology, seeking its publication as a reprint.

Why not brush up on the submission process (always guidelines to follow)? And I haven't seen any short fiction contracts in some time. So, if it is accepted for publication, I'll get a sample of at least one contract to see if things might've changed over the past eight or so years.

Also, if accepted, it'll get some of my work out there via different route and maybe bring a few new readers to some of my other published works.

Co-Authoring Workshop in Late February

Hey Folks,

I know most of you that read this blog are readers, but some of you are authors, so I thought I would share this video about a co-authoring workshop being put on by David Wood and Alan Baxter.

Both are sharp and experienced and successful authors who have a lot of experience and expertise to share.

If it's something that might be of interest, check it out. If you have any questions, David and Alan can be easily contacted. Or, contact me and I might have the answer.

White Gold and White Gold Wielder (by Stephen R. Donaldson)

From Stephen R. Donaldson's 6th book in the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever Series.

Wild Magic, graven in every rock

Contained for white gold to unleash or control.

Gold, rare metal, not born of the Land.

Nor ruled, limited, subdued by the Law, with which the Land was created.

And white, White Gold, because white is the hue of bone, structure of flesh,

Discipline of life.

A good series, unlike any other I've read.

My and my wife's white gold wedding bands.

Best quote from my favorite character in the second Chronicles (and he uttered very few words):

"It is not death. It is purpose. We will redeem the Earth from corruption." Vain--Demondim-spawn, created by the Ur-viles.
